Ондатра (Ondatra zibethica L.) небольшой североамериканский грызун, имеющий длину тела 2535 см, массу в среднем 9001000 г. Окраска коричневая, от темнобурой до охристоржавой, но бывают и почти черные экземпляры, шкурки которых ценятся выше.
