  <div class="article-content"><div id='news-id-20'><b>От строения чешуек зависит</b> и предрасположение опушения к свалянности: у песцов с этим дефектом часто встречаются волосы с неплотно прилегающими чешуйками, что, очевидно, повышает сцепляемость.<br /><br />Под чешуйчатым слоем лежит корковый, представляющий трубку из соединенных между собой веретеновидных клеток. Когда корковый слой составляет основную часть волоса, последний отличается повышенной прочностью на разрыв и излом.</div></div>

В некоторых случаях при выделке шкурок удаляют кроющий волос и это снижает их относительную носкость. Так, при удалении ("щипке") остевых волос на шкурках бобра и выдры их прочность снижается на 5 % (<i>со 100 % до 95 у выдры и с 90 до 85 % у бобра</i>).</div></div>
