Кормление животных
В рационы бобров корма животного происхождения включать не принято. Однако результаты опытов свидетельствуют о том, что добавка к рациону молодняка куколки тутового шелкопряда способствует лучшему росту бобрят.
Ветки — один из основных компонентов рациона бобров. Летом дают облиственные ветви ивы, осины и некоторых других деревьев и кустарников, съедаемые животными почти целиком; зимой, кроме веток, толстые сучья и тонкие стволы деревьев (толщиной 8—10 см), с которых они сгрызают кору. Шиншиллам зимой периодически (2—3 раза в неделю) дают тонкие ветки березы, ивы, шиповника, рябины, малины и ДР., которые звери охотно грызут.
Хорьки по физиологии и характеру питания близки к норкам. Нормы кормления хорьков еще детально не разработаны, поэтому в большинстве хозяйств их кормят по рационам для норок или песцов. От хорьков получают в год два приплода. Беременность может быть й в марте—апреле (первое щенение), и в июле—августе (второе щенение).
Особенность кормления енотовидных собак связана с тем, го эти звери в позднеосенние и зимние месяцы впадают в полуспячку, вследствие чего в этот период резко сокращается потребление корма. При низкой температуре можно наблюдать и полную спячку. Уровень основного обмена у енотовидных собак значительно ниже, чем у лисиц и песцов.
